Data Warehouse

Data warehouse is a database designed to support decision making in an organization. Data from the production databases are copied to the data warehouse so that queries can be performed without disturbing the performance or the stability of the production systems.

Data warehousing is essentially what you need to do in order to create a data warehouse, and what you do with it. It is the process of creating, populating, and then querying a data warehouse and can involve a number of discrete technologies such as:
  • Source System Identification to be able to build the data warehouse, right data must be located. This involves current OLTP systems, and historical data, which may be in some form of "legacy" system that are often not relational databases.
  • Data Warehouse Design and Creation describes the process of designing the warehouse, with care taken to ensure that the design supports all types of queries the warehouse will be used for. This requires an understanding of the database schema to be created, and a great deal of interaction with the user community. The design is usually an iterative process and it must be modified a number of times befoe the model can be stabilized.
  • Data Acquisition - This is the process of moving company data from the source systems into the warehouse and is the most time-consuming and costly effort in the data warehousing project. Usually called ETL which is a sub-domain of Data Integration.
Why CRMT
CRMT is leading in DW modelling on numerous different platforms. Robust and extensive framework allow us to deliver robust, high performance, extensible and scalable DW very rapid.

• CRMT is implementing high performance, extremely fast DW on fastest solution -Netezza DW appliances.
• Companies that are using standard commercial RDBMS can rely on our knowledge to achieve optimal performance on existing infrastructure. That includes: Microsoft MS SQL, IBM DB2,  IBM Informix and Oracle DBMS
• CRMT also provide knowledge and implementation power to implement OLAP databases like Microsoft analysis services and Oracle Hyperion.
