"Tagetik covers many issues in controlling that arise in the processes of planning and reporting. I truly do not know of any other solution that integrates the processes of planning and reporting so beautifully, while including so many technological advances. The majority of large organizations have to deal with highly complex planning processes, and in the past this was mostly addressed by using Excel spreadsheets. Excel makes it relatively easy to establish relationships between dimensions in the data, resulting in a final result, i.e. the plan. However, further steps are extremely demanding, for example consolidation and revision of plans. Tagetik contains built-in logic of the whole process, both for planning and consolidation, from the preparation of commercial plans to complete integration into the financial plan, balance sheet plan, P&L plan and cash flow. The process of building and consolidating the plan is systematic, which requires the systematization and simplification of the process. This requires rules and complex logic to be designed and developed, which I see as added value of Tagetik."
